Dr. James Schlitt

Dr. James Schlitt is a postdoctoral research associate with the University of Virginia Biocomplexity Institute. Since 2013, he has collaborated with a breadth of state, federal, and international public health agencies responding to emergencies ranging from novel pandemic pathogens and foodborne illness outbreaks to suicide clusters and simulated nuclear attacks. James holds a PhD in genetics, bioinformatics, and computational biology and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in infectious disease epidemiology, both from Virginia Tech.
